I keep mine between.70-74 (when the heat really kicks in. On the rare occasion it gets.to 76 (once or twice).
Are these good temperature ranges?

Best temperature range is 21-22(C) or 70-72(F). Temperatures above 30(C) or 86(F) can be fatal to captive frogs.
In the wild, healthy frogs can survive temperatures of 13-58(C) or 55-136(F).

so would 76 be okay as a maximum rule of thumb? We have heat problems, but haven't even been around 80 F
Anyways you suggest cooling down? I am thinking ahead for the summer,

Right now to keep the temperature stable, I crack open a window or use a box fan.
But my window cracking idea hasn't failed so far

Right now the water is reading 64F. Is this an alright temperature or should I bust out the tank heater?
In my apartment the heater is a little wacky and is either expelling way too much heat to way too little.

64F is on the very low end of tolerable. I would try to get the water up to 70F. Just make sure the heater has a guard on it, so the frogs cannot burn themselves on it. Honestly though I use a heater in one of my small frog tanks without a guard, I have it set to the lowest possible setting, which is 68F and the water reads 70F.
And now the water temperature is at 74F. My apartment is ridiculous and I never know what's going on with the heat. Is 74F tolerable for the frogs? Right now I have my window cracked and the boxfan blowing the cool air towards the aquarium.
Although I do my weekly water changes, do you think adding a little bit of colder water could fix this problem with the frog water? Or should I maybe do the frozen water inside of a ziplock bag route? Or any other suggestions you have!
