Default Is this enough food for my male pixie frog?

Hi guys, I have a 9 months old male african bullfrog, he is almost 6 inches. I used to feed him about 40 to 80 crickets when he was 4.5 inches to 5. Now I have been feeding him 3 large nightcrawlers everyday and about 30 crickets once a week.. also he gets 1 rat pup once a month. My question is.. is that enough??

Note: I dust his food every 2 days. He was 4.5 inches 3 months ago.

Well i would be offering more Night Crawlers than crickets. He doesn't have to eat everyday. You can feed him large meals every 2 or 3 days. A rat pup once a month is a good treat. His overall health looks good.

Thank you! Can you give me an idea of large meals?

just feed him for about 15 mins...whatever he eats in that time will be considered his big meal twice a week doing this should be plenty of food for him...but great looking frog!! love the coloring

I go with the 15 minute rule, 2x a week with smaller prey and nightcrawlers. I only offer a single large hisser nymph at a time for my pac but in the case of ur abf I would use the 15 minute rule with them

Dubia would also make a sufficient meal, the reason why I say this is because they breed much faster then hissers. And are cheaper. Hissers are probably your best bet when it comes to pixies but it will be expensive and more time consuming.

Great! i actually started breeding my dubia.. I started 3 months ago. Cant wait to have my pixie on dubia roach. Coz I spend 8 dollars a week for 25 large nightcrawlers.
