anyone have these frogs?? Has anyone ever had them breed for them? I am most interested in these frogs, and if any of the "breeders" of frogs that use hormones...can you please PM me on advice?? These frogs have breeding habits that are not well understood and have never been bred successfully in the US...any help would be greatly appreciated...I am not the only person interested in this endeavor...thanks for any and all help...
Hello Judy! As far as I know they have never been bred and are all wild caught. A large local pet store (Animal Jungle - 757-463-4065) received some during Fall in bad shape. Told them about Pedialyte baths and a few of them did recover and started eating and going on branches, etc. Appear they sold them about a month ago.
I've also seen them listed at Kingsnake by a few sellers. They appear to be seasonal and would recommend practice a strict quarantine for them and have a veterinary check them for parasites and Chytrid fungus before letting them anywhere near your room with frog collection. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
