I asked (and received) lots of help from the good people here at FF. I just wanted to say thank you and share a couple of pictures of my little guy. He must have known I went to get my camera because he was out and about where I could get a couple of good shots. I haven't disturbed him (much) since I got him so he could settle in and make himself at home. He's been eating now, every night for about a week. He's been getting one cricket a night dusted with Ca. Next weekend he'll get a cricket dusted with vitamins.

When I got him he looked a lot greener. Is that possible? He's an albino with beautiful ruby eyes.

    Thanks again for everyone’s help!!!

    -Andy

    Nice looking frog.

I have never had an albino before so I don't know if the green is normal or not.
I would guess so since my packman when I first got him was all green. thats why I named him Pepito
He looked like a green little pumpkin seed.

Here he is when I first got him last May.

He has almost lost all of his green coloring.

Oh my, what a beautiful frog! Pepito has much better posture than Paco. Paco looks like a water balloon with not enough water in it! LOL!

When do they stop growing? Pepito looks pretty big now. Very hansome frog.

When I got him he was 17g now he's pushing almost 190g (after meal and before pee)
Not sure on the weight of a full grown frog but I have heard that 4 to 6inches in diameter is not uncommon.

I had to pick up his chin but he is a sweetheart and very calm. Never has tried to bite me.
Thats why I felt safe picking up his chin with my finger LOL

He is now wolfing down hopper mice like it is nothing.

When he got to 2 in STV I started giving him pinkie mice once a month.
Now he gets a hopper mouse.
BTW pinky , and hopper are different names of the stages of the growth cycle of a mouse.

FYI pinky, fuzzy, furry, hopper then full grown adult.

After feeding a mouse I don't offer anything for a few days to let him digest the big meal.
then I give him a soak in warm 80F dechlorinated tap water covered with a towel. ( he's very modest and likes his privacy LOL)
While he soaks I re hydrate his substrate and check for any poo then fluff it up with my gloved hands, just in case I missed a present .
By that time he has done his business and I return him to his home and he hoops around a bit. then finds a new spot and digs in.

Baby frog looks good! Make sure you keep him around 82F during day with a small drop in temp at night. Long exposures to cold temps can cause permanent damage to internal organs.

Think could eat more than one cricket per day; just make sure you gut load them with carrots and lettuce and they are sized same as distance between frog's eyes. Have you tried feeding Night Crawlers? For your's, would cut them (from pointy end) same size as crickets. Latter in life you can cut them same as frog length and a 3 in. frog can handle them whole. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
