Everyone has species and animal types that speak to them more than others. Even the baby pacmans I interact with have their own individual characteristics, and they're still babies! As they get older, you do find that they develop their own personalities, and you also get to know them more and more the longer you have them. They're more subtle than a lizard or tortoise, but the personality is there.
