Default Update on "Lunchbox" the Cranwell's

Not sure how to scale pics yet. I just copy/pasted. This is "Lunchbox" my Strawberry Albino Pacman. (So-named because all I do is put food Into him) I have had him since August. He is about 3" in diameter and showing no signs of slowing down. He is feeding on dusted crickets, earthworms, and occasionally a hornworm or two. I am still debating on feeding him the very occasional pinky, I have heard mixed reviews as far as how healthy they are for them, so until I know for sure I will play it safe and just not. He is in a 10 gallon with a 25 watt exo terra bulb on top. The enclosure is sprayed and spot cleaned daily, with a full substrate change monthly. The substrate is Eco-Earth. I am debating on adding some organic topsoil and adding a few plants in there. If anyone could give information on that I would appreciate it. With that, thanks for looking!

I would keep the plants potted and place large stones on top to keep him from trying
to burrow into the top of the pots.
just get 2 inch tall pots, terra-cotta are great as they have rounded corners
and when unglazed they absorb moisture and some of the waists that the
frog makes could seep into the plant and help fertilize it naturally.
just burry them into the substrate.
by now your substrate should be around 2 to 3 inches deep.

Just be careful not to use any potting soil that has fertilizers added,
    only use organic soil.

As far as the pinky goes once a month is fine.
Pinkies are a good treat food but high in fat.
just like wax worms, a lot of fat but good as a treat.

I feed my pep a hopper mouse.( one developmental step above a fuzzy) once a month.
    and he loves it.

He is a really happy frog, he croaks almost nightly and some times during the day time.

I found that seed starting soils dont always have fertilizers. Miracle grow soils do have fertilizers, so avoid those they make. Potting mix for african violets sometimes does not have any.
