I was busy all day yesterday and didn't have a chance to check up on my frog. Today I checked and the soil temperature was in the mid 90s. I think the temperature controller bugged out on me. Will me frog be okay? He's not eating even though I haven't fed him in about 4 days.
The not-eating is probably a result of the temperature fluctuating so suddenly. However, if temperatures have been restored to their normal state, your frog should be eating again within 3 days or so![]()
Hi, I hope your frog is ok. As long as this topic came up I wanted to mention something. I have had my ornate, Tuko, for over a year. We do not have any cooling in our house except for one small area including the bedroom. This past summer it was over 90 where Tuko was kept and he did fine. It was for short periods, maybe a couple of hours a day for a couple of days, (most not even in a row) but it was pretty hot and only cooled to 80-85 at night for a bit there. I was concerned but he did well and even started eating more this summer, oddly. I dont recommend it and when summer comes around I might be moving my guys temporarily to another area, even the basement if the heat becomes even worse for longer periods of time.
