Sounds like your little one is just a few months old.
I highly recommend that you get a small kitchen scale that can measure in grams
and keep track of his weight, that will be a good indicator of his progress. (and photos)
When he gets about 3 to 4 months older he migiht start to croak (if it is a He)
and another way is to look on its front feet right above the inner thumb of each front limb
and you will see a small brown patch start to appear.
those are called nuptial pads.
If so then you most defiantly have a male.
My Pep likes to croak at 3 to 4 am most of the time.
and randomly during the day.
Not very loud.
He also makes cute lille grunts when I dig him up to do clean up of his enclosure.
But is he is a very calm frog and has never tried to bite me.
But be ware as they get older their bite can be nasty and if bitten resist the reaction to jerk
your hand away.
This will make the bite worse and your frog my get thrown across the room and get hurt.
