Tigerworms/earthworms with abscesses?

Hi everybody.

I keep a small colony of tigerworms for my two Bufo bufo. Added here are 2-3 wild caught earth worms.

The last two times I've dug up worms to feed the boys, I've found a worm with something that looks like abscesses. (I'll take a picture, if it happens again). I throw the damaged worm out, not knowing if it's carrying something that could infect my boys, or if it's just damaged in some way.

Has anybody else experienced this before?

The one I found the first time had it really bad, with yellowish, swollen bumps on it. All the other worms seems completely fine.

Feeding any WC feeder to a pet is taking a risk in my own opinion.

That is why I had to get rid of a colony of Dubia roaches that got contaminated with
a local species of cockroach.
I keep my roaches in a separate building from my home and got forgetful and left
the top off of the bin.

I didn't want to take a chance of a tapeworm infection or any other kind of parasite.

it is totally up to you on how much of a chance you want to take with your pet.
My self I rather loose a coupe hundred feeders than risk getting my Pepito sick.
and paying high vet bills much less seeing him suffer.

I've seen this before on a few worms that I have caught...I'd like to know what it is as well.

My guys are wildcaught themselves and are around 3-4 years old, when I found them. They get fed wild beetles and eartworms once i a while from wooded areas and they seem to be doing fine

Thank you for your opinion, but do you know what those things are a symptom of? I'd just like to know, cause I've never seen it on any of the smaller earthworms I used to catch, where I found them.
