    Default Hi all

Hi, I joined your forum to get a frog ID, I know nothing about frogs and live in the DRC. I am into reptiles and fish but have seen some interesting critters here. I don't even know, this frog might be the most common creature in the world! I would be greatful if someone can Identify him. I will try take some more images when I get a chance. I found him in the rain season in Kolwezi, DRC in riverine area during the rains. He was walking out in the open and jumps when provoked but walks when undisturbed and is about 25mm long (body and about 3 times that with legs extended. Thanks Seventenths...

Hello and welcome to FF ! Think that beautiful frog is in the Arthroleptis genus. Sadly, myself don't have the books or material needed to narrow down the species. There is still research and discussion on the "Screeching Frog" genus and maybe some unidentified species still.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Based on typical bright colors of most toxic frogs; would wear gloves when handling this one until ID as non-toxic. Have you heard it calling? Most frogs on genus are partially identified by their call.

Thanks. Noted. I will listen out for him. Have put him in a terrarium and he has eaten a few small moths. Going to see if I can find him or her! a friend.

Seems like it is a diurnal frog. Just try to keep it in a setup that looks like the area where you got it. It doesn't seem to be bothered by bright daylight as well. Cute
