Default How Long Do Whtie Tree Frogs Soak

    Hi All,

I am new to this so please bear with me. I have 3 White Tree Frogs and all are doing well. Eating and doing all the normal froggie things. My only concern is that Jade has been soaking a long time. She was in the soaking dish most of last night and is still in it this morning. She ate really well last night and does not seem bloated. Should I be concerned. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Di

    Welcome to the forum .

Well, they often soak longer for hydration. How is the humidity in their tank?

Tell us a bit more about your enclosure please. What is the humidity? Lighting? Cover (as in plants and pearches etc)?

Mine personally loves her water bowl and I often catch her just enjoying life in her water bowl.

My male not only soaks all night, but he takes laps in his private pool all night. My female, she rarely goes in the water. I know popular theory is that they go in the water to rehydrate, but I also thing that some just like the water. After all, they came from the water.....

MY WTF's will "soak all night, even when humidity is at 65%. FYI, they love it when I add some warmed water to their bowl. Then they push themselves way down and spread their legs apart and hold onto the edge with just their front toes so the warm water covers most of their bodies. They crack me up.

Size: 63.4 KBthis is what my male does every night. He swims laps, gets out, calls for a few hours, then goes right back in the water. Personable little fellow lol
