They are Sacalia quadriocellata four eyed turtle.

People interested in frogs, are usually knowledgeable about other herps. I'm not sure what a reptile exhibit would be, but I would be surprised if they let visitors in at the gates while carrying a live turtle.

Agree with Daniel! Also; they are endangered, so might want to check legality of keeping captive in your country.
