Exclamation Lump on Left Side of African Clawed Frog

    Hello!

While getting ready to feed my African Clawed frog today, I saw that the left side of front is lumpy looking. Could he have a bowel obstruction? He's acting perfectly fine right now and he ate perfectly fine. What's something I can do for him to get rid of an obstruction?

    Thank you!

Hello and welcome to FF! Can you please post a picture of your frog? Do you have substrate like small pebbles or gravel in tank? Thank you !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Attached are pictures of Hippie. The bulging lump area went down a little bit but it is still noticeable. These were taken last night.

I can't tell if it's impaction, but you could try to feed them a little bit of beef heart (not too much! you don't want to give them that much fatty food). See if after giving some soft food if the lump seems to just kind of go away and they pass a huge B.M.

It's also useful to know what substrate (if any) you are using.
