Be present when you work around frogs ! It's easy on the digital age to be thinking about many other things and this mind multi-tasking leads to accidents in real life . Drive when you drive, eat when you eat, and be with your frogs when you are with them .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Well at least you didn't loose him. (Them ) the other day if thought one of my fire belly toads got out . Went crazy looking for him . I ended up tacking the tank apart and went out to dump out all the substrate . I had given up . Well 20 min after I dumped the substrate outside I went out to smoke and I look down . There he was !! He was berried in the coco I guess even though I went through it before dumping it .. He is safe now and I Learnt a good lesson .
Glad things worked out for both of us ..

I know this is gonna sound mean, but worked for me. Lose a few frogs and you will become much more vigilant. Or learn from other's mistakes and you won't have to go through the pain some of is went through of losing one. Have the fear that one will get out anytime you work I the tank and it will soon become habit.

Try to think of every pet you have as an endangerment to society so that your mind will be set that if one gets loose, more or less someone who finds it thinking it is a "dangerous" animal will try to kill it. I tend to get paranoid ever since i got 1 snake loose on our building before and my unknowing neighbor killed it.

I know this sounds nuts and not so sure I want to admit this, BUT...I wiggle the lid after I close it. I left one lid slightly lifted and after having spent some serious cash on my frogs I freaked out that I may have lost one. So now I wiggle the lid after I close it to make sure it has sit right on the top of the tank. Then after I turn the lights off in the room I may do it again. See, now I feel like I have a small OCK tick or somthing...
