Just recently I moved my two tomato frogs into a bigger exo terra and my room mate made a slope with a container with gradual water increase in depth. They splashed around in it and as it turns out the smaller orange one is a male like someone mentioned on here. He is now on top of her now. I don't think the right conditions would be met for them to breed or if he is really trying to.
I'm not going to try breeding, but what are the right conditions for it?
Breeding Tomato Frogs is not an easy task. Appears hormones or the use of a large male/female group is required. Think this is one of few articles that discusses non-hormone breeding: Tomato Frogs. There is some contact information at the Baltimore Zoo in article; but be aware that the breeding happened in 1997 and maybe they are not involved in the project anymore.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Thanks. My room mate just wanted me to ask, I would never attempt it.
