I wanna keep a cane toad again but i don't wanna get those ones being sold at the pet store as they tend to be either wounded, skinny or too big.
I'm currently eyeing a small one (probably a male) maybe at 3-4 inches and it's living at a white sand beach in this particular resort near where i'm staying. I saw him a few times already at the same spot for over a month and i was thinking of keeping it so he can avoid a two-way danger with the stray dogs and mean kids around here.
My question is, should i keep it in the same conditions; i.e. sandy beach, sea rock hides, some dried terminalia cattapa leaves and coconut leaves & husks or should i change his living conditions to a coco fiber/dirt/sand/leaves mix with access to freshwater?
Any opinions if i should keep it or not are also welcome as well haha!![]()
