My GABF chirps a lot. What does it mean?

I have a Giant African Bullfrog who is about 6 or 7 months old. It makes chirping noises a lot. It's a high pitched little squeak.

Temps are at 85, soil is nice and moist but not soupy or mushy. Crickets and dubias are offered every day (although he/she doesn't eat every time). There is a water dish and I use eco-earth substrate. I don't handle it except to transport it from it's home to the feeding bin. He/she acts normal other than the squeaking.

Does this mean anything?

My Arfrican Bullfrog will "chirp" or grunt sometimes if I suddenly disturb him/her from resting. I've also heard it "squeek" underneath its soil which only turned out to be its legs rubbing against the bare floor (glass or acrylic in both cases) making the noise.

Could be a female call?

Some babies or subadults are quite vocal. Should be nothing.

from what i experienced from my first male GABF was when it was about 3 inchs it would croak but it sounded like ur stomach growling when ur hungry....my female has made noises but nothing like a young male croaking...females do make noises though but just doesnt make the stomach growling sound....its more of high pitch chirps

It's definitely the frog making the noises, not it's feet against the glass. It only makes noises under the soil. It definitely sounds like a female squeak, but it's too young to tell. I'm wondering if something is wrong with the frog or if it's just 'singing.'

Then it's just testing things out. Nothing to worry about Do you find that your frog tunnels underneath the soil? As in one day its popped out in one spot and it tunnels under and pops out from another?
