I noticed this morning one of my frogs was awake .
i have never seen him do this so I'm a bit worried
he is resting and I can't quite tell if he is sleeping his eyes are half open![]()
He seems fine otherwise . He has bin eating , though it just started today
1-size of enclosure ...3' x 2' x 3'
2-# on inhabitants - specifically ( if there is another frog ---size differences ?) ...yes 1 other wtf they where bought together . Same size
3-humidity ...70 to 80
4-temp ..80
5-water - type - for both misting and soaking dish ..spring or treated
6-materials used for substrate .oak leaves
7-enclosure set up i.e. plants( live or artificial) wood, bark etc -how were things prepared prior to being put into the viv ...live plants ,branches ,both cleaned or baked to sterilize
8-main food source ... Crickets
9-vitamins and calcium ? ( how often ) calcium d3 , no vitamins . Crickets are gut loaded
10-lighting .. 1 heat lamp , small florescent
11-what is, specifically, being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure ..heat lamp , heat mat on side.
12-when is the last time he ate... Last night
13-have you found poop lately.. Yes
14-a pic would be great ( including the frog ) any little cell phone pic is fine
15- how old is the frog ... Not sure I guess 6 months
16-how long have you owned him... 4 months or so
17- is the frog wild caught or captive bred.. Not sure but I doubt it
18- frog food- how often and if its diverse what other feeders are used as treats... I feed daily
19- about how often the frog is handled.... couple times a week for couple minn
20-is the enclosure is kept in a high or low traffic area....low
I may be over reacting I'm just want to be prepared if there is a problem .

Myself prefer to use treated dechlorinated tap (use Seachem Prime) than a "Spring Water" bottle with unknown origin or aggressive post collection processing.
Recommend bring the temp up to 85F during the day with around a 10F drop at night. Ventilation is more important than humidity in Whites and will do OK with around 65%.
Other than that you can continue to observe frog for any other signs of problem and maybe get a fecal sample and have a Herp/Amphib trained vet conduct a fecal test. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
My female pops out once in awhile during the day, then settles back down on a branch and waits for the viv light to go out at 6.

Well my guy did sleep and is eating . I'll just keep a eye on him and hope for the best .
