Angry Getting Fantasy frog to eat worms instead of crickets

Hi all, I have tried the tough love thing and withheld crickets for 3 days and this fantasy frog won't even think about grabbing a nightcrawler. I have tried them undusted, then dusted in the calcium or reptivite that the crickets are dusted in thinking maybe he goes for the white color. Nothing. No reaction except closing his eyes and or trying to back up. He wont even TRY. Same thing goes for roaches. He makes no attempt at them at all wether they are offered on tongs or freeroaming right by his nose. I really dont want to keep having to buy crickets. Do the fantasys have issues with this? It is mad annoying.

    Thanks!
    Carole

I found this very frustrating with my tomato frog at first. Do you feed him in a separate enclosure? Ive heard some people assist feed their pacmans but this should only be done if the frog inst eating at all, Hopefully he will take it eventually.

Try dangling it in front of one of his eyes for five minutes multiple times a day every day, just not to close to his eyes. You don't want to hit him! Eventually he will get annoyed and just eat it. It takes a lot of patience, but after they grab it, it is a favorite of pacs, trust me

I tricked him into eat a cockroach today! I am thrilled! It is not a worm but at least he ate something else! WOO! Will keep trying with the worms.

    Thanks,

Persistence is key! I've had a few picky frogs, two brothers, one was scared of nightcrawlers and one of locusts. I kept up attempting to feed them to both and eventually they will bite. Be sure to rub the lower lip with the worm to get a bite response out of them, your basicly annoying his little frog pants off until lhe bites down.
I honestly did the non feeding technique at first, when that din'd work I decided to feed one after the other, locust first, worm next, if he rejects the worm too long, I'd offer another locust.

How big is the frog? I know when mine was very small, about the size of a half dollar, it was very intimidated by the worms. I suggest cutting the worm into about cricket sized pieces. Once it gains some size, adjust the size of the worm. Mine will now eat a half dozen full grown worms a sitting! It will take a little persistence, but it will catch on in no time!
