    Default My Western Toad

I just redid her enclosure today. Thought I'd take some photos. I took out a live pothos and replaced with fake plants so I can put the tank in my living room in the basement.

The water dish looks sh*tty, literally, but that's just fresh coconut fiber in it.

I love toads. Lol the whole time you're taking pictures, she's like "hey, show them this and I can climb on this" lol. Tank looks great.

Thanks, man! Everytime I redo her tank she'll try to escape her new home for hours, until she gives up, then she'll find a cozy spot and wait for dinner to show up.

I haven't had my guy long so I haven't done a redo on my set up. He did scare the heck out of me the other day. He usually is dug down on the damp side but when I was looking for him he popped out from beneath a plant on the dry side lol.

Lovely tank you have there. I like the dirty water too. My toads make it their mission to dirty their water as soon as I give them clean water.

Haha your toad totally meant to scare you. Is that a protest on more food demand?

Thanks for the kind words. Toads are big time mess makers. Not only they mess up water immediately, but after an hour she kicked my fake plant on the right all over the places!

I like the looks of the set up, but it looks kinda small for such a large toad.

Right now she's about 2-3 inches SVL in a 10 gallon tank, which is acceptable IMO. When she gets larger then an upgrade will be due.
