Color change

Last Saturday I bought a new fbt. This fbt had a very bright green color, just like the one I already had. But the one I already had changed color to more brown. The new green one is also getting a bit darker. What's happening? Am I doing something wrong? They live in a Exo Terra vivarium with real plants, lot's of water and places to hide and rest. The tank has a compact top with 2 low energy lightbulbs (2x 11 Watt) I want them to be green again

Just comes to mind: I made a waterfall recently, and water flows into the tank. The water is moving in that area, but it's not like Niagara falls Could this waterfall cause stress and loss of color? If so, I will remove it, and make it a dripping rainlike waterflow. Or is it the kind of bulb I'm using? I just read on a Dutch forum that a UV-A bulb would help. Is this true?

Hello Johan! If you think the waterfall is stressful to frogs, just unplug the pump for a couple days and see if there is a change. The frogs could just be stressed to each other company and it should get better as they get accustomed to each other. Myself don't think the bulbs you are using stress the frogs.

- How were things prepared prior to being put into the viv.
8. Main food source
9. Vitamins and calcium? (how often)
10. Lighting
11. What is being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure
12. When is the last time he/she ate
13. Have you found poop lately
14. A pic would be helpful including frog and enclosure (any including cell phone pic is fine)
15. How old is the frog
16. How long have you owned him/her
17. Is the frog wild caught or captive bred
18. Frog food- how often and if it is diverse, what other feeders are used as treats
19. How often the frog is handled
20. Is the enclosure kept in a high or low traffic area
21. Describe enclosure maintenance (water changes, cleaning, etc)

I agree with Carlos in that they are most likely acclimating. Even though one was established, there's a new guy in town and that causes stress. Imagine how you would feel if you worked in a little cubicle and a stranger was thrown in there to work with you as well. Think your stress level would go up a bit? Lol

As far as the light goes, it shouldn't be affecting the frogs whatsoever.

And the green ones are green again! It took them a couple of days, but they are all mates now. Last evening all four sat together on a piece of wood. Thanks again for your answers!
