Is there a way to tell origin ?

I was wondering if there is a way to tell if the whites tree frogs I have are Australian or Indonesian ?
Is there a difference in the two that is noticeable .
I got them at petco . And I know there not the best place for frogs but mine have bin great with no issues and very heathy ( nock on wood ).

They are both the same species and other than color variations (blue being attributed to Australian origin White's), know of no proven physical differences. There are some hobbyists that state Indonesian frogs get fatter (or larger) and their supraorbital ridge gets bigger; but that could also happen to any White's frog if overfeed regardless of origin.

Australian White's can't be imported since been protected and they have been breed in captivity to Indonesian White's. The available White's population (other than in Australia) is probably a mixed one with some selective line breeding shooting for "bluer" individuals.

Would not be surprised if frogs from the same parents are being sold as Australian Blues if bluer and as Indonesian if greener even if from same batch.
