Hi,
I have had a sexed pair of Oophaga pumilio ' black jeans ' for 6 days.
I purchased them at the WP show last Saturday.
They are in quarantine.
Their permanent enclosure has been cycling for about 2 months.

I was sawing something ( actually for them)

While I was sawing ---the male starting calling !

I have not taken many photos - I wanted them to settle in.

Here is the little man.
I guess they are more comfortable than I thought?

Hey Carlos,

I was trying to "Lynn rig" some plastic cups for additional tad deposit sites. ( was using the dremel)

But I changed my mind...... I'll just use the glass jiggers I bought. I like the glass better anyway.
I'm not crazy about film cups : 1) the are plastic 2) the suction cups don't hold after a while
If you ever use them make sure they are suspended or on the floor of the enclosure.

I believe I have enough broms in there...but just in case ( if I should be so luck)

One of the tads is just about to pop fronts ! The others are not far behind.
There are at least 2 if not 4 additional tads in the imi enclosure.

I wish Will ( Helm) lived closer---He would love imis ( Colorado ) Maybe I could be brave enough and mail them to him ? I saved all the packaging from my terribilis purchase from Kevin.
Or mabye, he is planning a trip this-a-way ?
Or maybe Alex wants some?

Is there some kind of plastic 'thing-a-jig'....u shaped ... I can use to support a brom into the very tough foam background of an enclosure.
If so, where would I get it .......in a hurry?

I have 2 broms that are mounted into a hollowed-out ( draining) cavity in the foam...that still need a bit of support. It has to be safe ( no sharp edges) as the frogs will be on and/or near it.

How about floral pins? They have them at Walmart. About $2 for 50 or so. They are u shaped and have points that pierce the foam. I have them holding up my orchids in my white's tank. You can find them in the craft section. Then, after the broms take hold, you can remove them.

I couldn't find anything plastic .... Grrrrr

I ended up using plastic rip ties
Seems to hold well- these 4 just need some additional support for a while
