But if he has golden eyes, should he not be an albino?
    What color are his pupils?

Black! I think? Something fairly dark. Is this uncommon for albinos, as his coloration is looking more to be like one.

If the pupils are black then it is not an albino. Albino's lack the pigment melanin so they can not produce black. Albino's generally have red/pink eyes.

You probably have an ACF similar to my 'albino' he is rather golden/yellow with black pupils. When I saw a true albino ACF in a pet store for the first time I realized my ACF was not a true albino either. There is a lot of variation in 'albino' ACF, true albino, leucistic, golden, ect..

My frog is not dyed. I would not purchase a dyed frog, I've seen dyed frogs sold in stores and it's sad. I always make a point when I see dyed ACF in the store that I would have purchased it, if it were NOT a dyed frog but I doubt they care. I still voice my opinion though.

The same thing happens to me. Visibly, they look dark, but with a camera or anything else bright they look more red. But perhaps that's just similar to the red glare people get in their eyes during photos.

Yeah, neither pet stores I go to even sell ACFs. Some sell ADFs, but over-all the staff seems to know even less than I know, which is VERY sad when I start correcting them. Especially considering my limited knowledge! But perhaps I should consider that they are more used to fish, not frogs, save for one employee who's shift I can never catch.

I am still shocked/surprised a dollar store, not pet store, was even allowed to sell these little babies. Unfortunately, I didn't even stop to think that one of them was dyed, just that "well, they like companions, so I am going to save two from this hell-hole." Luckily both are healthy! Cecil is even getting the hang of catching food, where Carlos just kind of eats everything in there path.

It is rather cute to watch them hang out together/lay on top of each other.

That probably explains why one of my acf is light yellow in color and the other one is slightly pinkish. They were not dyed though.

It is strange. Underwater they look black, but when he occasionally basks on the surface or comes up for air, they are CLEARLY red.

It's looking like it! I moved them from there temporary "cottage" for 2.5 gallons and now they are in their 20 gallon it is MUCH easier to see the eye color.
Now it's just a wait game to see what he turns into.
While the whole dying process is horrible in cruel, I can't help but to think of this as "yeah, I can't wait until the dye gets off of him, then I can see the real treasure of his markings/coloring etc"

I just visited a store "Pet supplies PLUS" and they had tanks of very small ACFs. I wanted to complain to someone, especially since some of the little guys were looking like they couldn't handle the process or the tank water. Not to mention that it wasn't good to carry these animals who were dyed "tutti fruitti" and how cruel of a process it is
They also didn't carry any Seachem products, which just added to the disappointment.

I'm just glad I gave my dyed frog a good home and don't mind his blotchiness as he outgrows the dye.

Also thank you to everyone on this thread and forum. You all are great

I'm sure you didn't! Especially if you just explained "yeah this is good for business, but this is animal cruelty". Sadly some pet stores are perfectly aware and just care about marketing, regardless of giving you a healthy frog or not.
The recent store I went to with dyed only ACFs had one tank where the water chemistry was probably fine, then the one next to it had little (less than an inch probably) froglets that looked stressed out, underfed, and overstocked.
