Thread: Terrarium with water and bricks

Default Terrarium with water and bricks

I dont remember the name of the user, but i saw a picture of a terrarium with no cocofiber/earth...

In this terrarium there were only some bricks (the dry part) with all water around...

is it a right way to house our african bullfrogs? For sure i see the easiness of cleaning...are there any negative aspects?

It's kind of the lazy way to house them. Sure it's easier to clean and maintain but it's not very natural looking and the frogs won't be able to bury themselves when too hot, too cold of even if they are stressed out. I personally don't like it when people house animals like that just because they're lazy and deprive the animal of a decent setup. Just house the frog with coco fibre and it will be much happier.

As Jack said, it is not right way to house them.

They need about 50/50 water/ substrate set up, they need to have choice to burry themselves or to stay in a water, they need hide so sorts, it can be plants or anything.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
