Default Our Cuban Tree Frogs! PICTURES!!

    Meet Flaco(skinny boy), Gorda(fat girl) and Maní(peanut).

Can't pick favorites when you've got cuties like these.
Hopefully the little boys will become as brave as our big girl.

Flaco - who's not actually skinny. He's usually very lightly colored.

Gorda - our big girl. She has been known to change color rapidly and range
from VERY dark brown to very light, almost white and sometimes green.

Maní - he's erratic! He's usually medium to dark brown. I've never seen him change to a light color.

Our Cubans are so happy now. Especially Gorda, the big girl. I Re-did their tank and added a TON of plants. A palmetto bush, a fern, a ficus vine, a 'jungle plant vine' and a 12 inch tall acaesia(?) With broad waxy silk leaves. Gorda is particularly happy because these plants are sturdy right to hold her weight.

We also got Maní to put on weight and he is no longer looking so thin or spending so much of his time in the water or buried.

On a different note, my best friend gave me about 30 tadpoles from her pool about a week ago. They are going great in my little tank. I believe they are all cuban tads. If anyone is interested in some, let me know and we can work out the details.

Here's some pics of the 'Cubies' habitat. They are loving the foliage and the makeshift pond.

Also, here's two links of me feeding our large Cuban, Gorda.

    Enjoy.

In the videos you can also tell that she was trying to camouflage to the paper towel and that is what was taking her so long to respond to food in the first video. You can note a color difference between the 1st and 2nd video, but she's been known to carry in color even more significantly.

Cute videos! She's so well-behaved...my Cuban Tree Frog would have been biting my fingers and jumping all over the room if I'd tried to feed him on a paper towel.
