White's Tree Frog lost all his color!

Recently my frog has lost all of his color and I'm very worried about it. He has changed from his normal bright green to a dark brown and spends alot of his time in his water dish. I have been having trouble keeping the humidity in his tank high and, according to my cheap stick-on thermometer, the temperature is barely 70F.

1. Size of enclosure - 20G High aquarium
2. # of inhabitants - specifically other frogs and size differences - 1 White's Tree Frog
3. Humidity - 40-50%
4. Temperature - 70ish degrees F (stick-on thermometer)
5. Water - type - for both misting and soaking dish - Dechlorinated tap water
6. Materials used for substrate - False bottom, cypress tree bark, sphagnum moss
7. Enclosure set up i.e. plants (live or artificial), wood, bark and other materials. - Live plants, 2 pieces of wood, fake vine
- How were things prepared prior to being put into the viv. - rinsed in hot water
8. Main food source - crickets
9. Vitamins and calcium? - none
10. Lighting - One flourescent daylight bulb on for 12 hours a day
11. What is being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure - Medium heating pad on bottom, Red heat light on 24/7
12. When is the last time he/she ate - Today
13. Have you found poop lately - Today
14. A pic would be helpful including frog and enclosure (any including cell phone pic is fine) - Will try and post one later
15. How old is the frog - Unknown, assume a year at most
16. How long have you owned him/her - August of this year
17. Is the frog wild caught or captive bred - Captive
18. Frog food- how often and if it is diverse, what other feeders are used as treats - A dozen crickets are placed in the tank once a week
19. How often the frog is handled - Never
20. Is the enclosure kept in a high or low traffic area - Low traffic
21. Describe enclosure maintenance (water changes, cleaning, etc) - Misted once a day, Water bowl cleaned daily

May have something to do with the low temps? They should be around 85 degrees.

Needed changes can be easily made to help your frog

#4 Emily is right .... raise the temp.

#9 if the feeders are NOT dusted - a few times a week - with a high quality calcium and Vit D powder ( such as Repashy )
your frog will eventually develop metabolic bone disease--- it's not pretty.
This causes skeletal deformities, kidney failure, seizures, and eventually death

Uneaten feeders ( besides needing to be dusted with cal and vit d supplement )need to be returned ( daily ) to the cricket bin to feed. This will ensure you are feeding your frog - healthy crickets. They are what the eat !!!!!

Sorry:
cypress tree bark and sphagnum moss can both cause intestinal obstructions if accidentally swallow by a whites tree frog.

#6 Eco Earth or Tropical Soil are two substrates you want to use.
Provide plenty of climbing materials such as branches and large leaf plants so they can get off the ground and do their 'tree frog thing'

I will be purchasing a new thermometer this week so hopefully my cheap one is just wrong. The tank itself seems warm by the touch for sure, so it might be the case. What else can I do to raise the temp?? I was thinking of buying one of those ceramic heating elements or even going as far as getting a small space heater and pointing it into the top.

And it seems like I was pretty misinformed by my pet store! They never told me about the dusting and they actually said that the substrate I have would work out. I just started putting the dozen into the tank thinking the frog would just eat them when he's hungry and they all seem to survive the week until eaten. I'll go back to placing a few in there a day. I still have a decent bit of coco fiber from my background that was leftover so i'll see if I need to purchase anymore.

So things to buy: Something to heat it up more, Vitamin dust for the crickets, and possibly more eco earth. Thank you!

On a brighter note, I saw him today and he had a few spots of green on the top of his head. Maybe he's getting better! The new top I made to hopefully keep the humidity in didn't seem to work out so well. Would a glass top be alright and help keep it humid? I figured there would need to be some sort of air movement so I bought the screen top in the first place.
