Recently my frog has lost all of his color and I'm very worried about it. He has changed from his normal bright green to a dark brown and spends alot of his time in his water dish. I have been having trouble keeping the humidity in his tank high and, according to my cheap stick-on thermometer, the temperature is barely 70F.
1. Size of enclosure - 20G High aquarium
2. # of inhabitants - specifically other frogs and size differences - 1 White's Tree Frog
3. Humidity - 40-50%
4. Temperature - 70ish degrees F (stick-on thermometer)
5. Water - type - for both misting and soaking dish - Dechlorinated tap water
6. Materials used for substrate - False bottom, cypress tree bark, sphagnum moss
7. Enclosure set up i.e. plants (live or artificial), wood, bark and other materials. - Live plants, 2 pieces of wood, fake vine
- How were things prepared prior to being put into the viv. - rinsed in hot water
8. Main food source - crickets
9. Vitamins and calcium? - none
10. Lighting - One flourescent daylight bulb on for 12 hours a day
11. What is being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure - Medium heating pad on bottom, Red heat light on 24/7
12. When is the last time he/she ate - Today
13. Have you found poop lately - Today
14. A pic would be helpful including frog and enclosure (any including cell phone pic is fine) - Will try and post one later
15. How old is the frog - Unknown, assume a year at most
16. How long have you owned him/her - August of this year
17. Is the frog wild caught or captive bred - Captive
18. Frog food- how often and if it is diverse, what other feeders are used as treats - A dozen crickets are placed in the tank once a week
19. How often the frog is handled - Never
20. Is the enclosure kept in a high or low traffic area - Low traffic
21. Describe enclosure maintenance (water changes, cleaning, etc) - Misted once a day, Water bowl cleaned daily
