    Default eating

so my pacman frog will eat any cricket that walks past his face, but i know it is not good to feed them only crickets. what else could i feed him without tongs. i cant get him to eat from tongs. it is like he is deathly afraid of me. as soon as i open the cage he scoots as far back in his burrow as possible. tried worms with tongs and got no luck. so any advice would be awesome!

LMAO, I'm sorry but I have to laugh. My female Tomato Frog "Lucy" is the same, she's huge and afraid of Tongs, she also will only eat crickets that walk 1 inch past her nose because she's too lazy to chase a cricket AND.............she has terrible aim, she constantly misses her prey. But when she gets one we both cheer.

Have you tried dropping the worms on the substrate in front of him?

Could you post some pictures of your enclosure and of your frog ?
What size is she/he ? What age ?

Depending on the size and age, you should try earthworms, nightcrawlers, red runner roaches, Dubia roaches, locusts.

Open the lid then give him a few minutes to relax before offering food or doing anything in or around the enclosure. Keep the lighting in the room dim. Try dropping the worm and inch or 2 in front of the frogs face. You can also try grabbing the worm with the tongs and starting from the furthest spot in the enclosure and slowly move the worm along the substrates surface towards the frog. My third and final suggestion would be see if it will take crickets from tongs and get him eating that way and then try the worms again after it has been taking crickets consistently for a few feedings.
