    Default Toad'ally awesome new terrarium!

Hey guys! Just an update on my guys because you're the only one in my immediate surroundings who'll enjoy it ;.D

After having waited for three weeks I finally got myself a real terrarium for Louis and Birger! When I first found them, they lived for around a month in a small fauna box. It was allright for their size, but ofcourse not appropriate for long term conditions.

Later on, my father donated his very old, lid-less busted aquarium (clean enough, but old!), where they had alot more room, but I had to have a book and a picture frame lying on top of it for a lid, as Birger once sat and looked very curiously and non-alarmed at us, on the doorstep, when we came home one night LOL

SO! I just wanted to throw some pictures at you guys - here you go!

Size: 83.6 KB It's just over 1/3 bigger and leaves enough room for them to keep growing and have alot of walking space! And typically - I bought a new wather bawl for them for 53 bucks and so far they don't seem to like to use it LOL But I guess it'll come.

Oh yeah - and it's a shame Bufo bufos aren't social pr. all the books on them

Lol. Seems like they like hamming it up for the photographer. I love your new set up.

Hahaha, yeah! Thanks Weird thing, though: They're not very interested in their new water bowl. I tried gently putting them in it yesterday and Louis just went amok and tried swimming into the bottom - weird. Should I just let it stay there and hope they'll come around?

Have they come around and started using their water bowl yet?

Yes, they have. Although not as often as they used their old one.

    - I recant: Birger has so far sat in the new water pool for a bit over two hours now! He even gave off a little croak <3 Guess he was pretty thirsty. Haven't seen Louis really use it yet.

    Pimp my tank!

So I went down to our local mall "Roedovre Centret" (yeah we don't have K-mart here ) and disovered that our local chain store has wood moss, so I bought some home and gave it to the guys (the white moss is "heart moss"). They really loved it! And now that the water bawl got just a little covered by the moss, Louis is using it too!

I'm so happy! But he's a bit more of a scaredy cat, so aparently this was better for him.

Got rid of the live plants because they're pied to death and when I leave crickets there, they eat them. Oh yeah - and the water was just changed. The reason it's dirty is this:

It's changed every day but now that they both use it, they quickly fill it with dirt
