    Default preferred fogger

I am having a cabinet built to support 3 exo terras and trying to deicide if I should plan for width for a fogger. The exo-terra ones I read on amazon are prone to breakage sometimes after a few months. I see other models but I don't know much about them. I am considering just the standard misting everyday like I'm doing. And I'm not crafty enough to build my own. Is there another popular fogger or should I just mist?

I have used the zoomed fogger for a few years with no issues. Just rig up a tube that splits to all 3 tanks, turn it on, and it should fog them pretty well. Use distilled water, mineral buildup overtime can harm the fogger.

Another option is a misting system. I suggest either exoterra monsoon or mistking, as both systems and be split to multiple tanks. Hope this helps!

I was for a while there wondering what company made the zoomed fogger :-) Then I realised you meant zoo med. I'll see about what you said. How wide is the fogger? The dimensions I read look to be just over 6 inches. I'm just needing to accommodate for it for the cabinet that is being built soon. Thanks Bruce.

Diff innately don't get an exo terra fogger. Mine broke in months and I replaced the disk but it broke again after a few months. Also it's supposed to switch off when not in the water but mine didn't and I picked it up and it was the most painful thing I have ever felt because since it's ultrasonic it heats up to what felt like 500 degrees.

I hate exo terra and even more zoomed foggers. Get just regular home ultrasonic humidifier, get some pipes in a diameter needed, silicone, stick the tube in humidifier, silicone it in. Done! You can split tube if want to. That is very very simple. If I can do lol I'm sure anyone can do it Best part you can use tap water, no need to buy distilled.

You have pacmans, for them misting systems are not the best to use, they tend to over saturate substrate. Fogger is a way to go.

Yeah I had a problem with the substrate getting too moist, especially with tomato frogs. I was looking at this Honeywell Quiet Care Humidifier (HCM-645) : Humidifiers - Future Shop but if this is working through the humidifier and going through its parts and oils and what not are you sure its 100% safe?

No, not that one, you need humidifier that is ultrasonic, they all work the same- generate fog that is getting out through the tube.
If you have bed, bath and beyond - they have huge selection. I have crane frog because it is cute lol I have quiet care and Air Swiss, all the same.

I found some cute ones Crane Adorable Penguin Ultrasonic Humidifier - BedBathandBeyond.ca Homedics® Warm and Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier - BedBathandBeyond.ca This one here is pricey but has good features like warm mist -> Venta® Sonic Ultrasonic Humidifier - BedBathandBeyond.ca And there is Swiss Miss Air-O-Swiss® Ultrasonic Digital Humidifier - BedBathandBeyond.ca but that's getting expensive. Your right good selection. If I use the exo terra aquatize in that is that safe for the machine? And is it going to purify it out?

Yes, fogger can be used for anyone, who needs humidity, plugged in hydrotherm it will provide worry free about humidity life for an owner lol
I don't use them for geckos, geckos drink water drops from the leaves, etc, they need misting, frogs are different this way.

Baloo, conditioners help, but you still need to clean humidifier once in a while. Bed/bath also sells cleaner powder, I use it 2xyear or less had zero problems so far. Zoomed fogger in comparison.... Is headache! You use distiller water and that stupid thing works when it wants to and that is after I exchanged it 4 times in first month of owning it

Thanks Lija. Do you know of any other websites in Canada that sell ornate pacman, that ship? J&J's is the only one I know of, and they seem good. Just wanted to check cause I can't find any. I wish I used the humidifier or something before. I feel responsible for my pacmans death. I used chlorinated water that was treated with aquatize, with may not have been enough. I should have boiled it for 20 minutes and/or set it out for 24 plus hours or distilled it. That may have been the factor. Cause he was fine at first.

Hey Lija what do you think of this one Venta® Sonic Ultrasonic Humidifier - BedBathandBeyond.com I've looked basically at all of them. This is about as much as I want to spend on one. It seems to have the best reviews for price range. No matter which one of any model on any brand there is always some one that says there's broke and its no good. This one has a warm mist feature, I'm thinking should be good.
