Cuban Tree Frogs and Eating

If using crickets recommend gut load them with fresh lettuce and carrots, cereals like oats or cherios, and veggie type fish flakes. All frog food should be dusted with CA/D3 and vitamin supplements (recommend Repashy or Rep-Cal) and you can use these schedules to get started: http://www.frogforum.net/food-feeder...schedules.html. Remember to only use dechlorinated tap (Seachem Prime works great) for frogs water dish and to mix into shredded coco substrate (if you use that). Can use distilled water for spraying to avoid glass water marks; but avoid spraying frogs .

I live in Florida as well and I have a HUGE cuban and two small ones and they eat crickets [gut loaded with Fluker's all in one] and they eat a TON. I buy a dozen large crickets and a dozen small crickets a week. I have also experienced trouble feeding night crawlers, but today I dropped a cube of fluker's in for my pinhead crickets that have hatched in my tank and the female snatched it and had it sticking out of her mouth for a minute before realizing it wasn't a bug and spitting it out. It seems like the larger they get the braver they are

All of my cubans are wild caught, and had been living peacefully together for about a month. Day before yesterday, I found my newest capture trying to eat one of my smaller ones. They're now broken down into 3 separate enclosures, according to size and temperament. So far, the little one is healing alright, and still active, and none of the others have tried to nibble on anyone. I was rather angry, since I had just fed them worms, and everyone got some. I feed individually, then the remainder of the worms are cut up and placed in the enclosure, then removed the next morning. They hate eating with the light on. The remainder of the worms was gone as well, so they certainly weren't starving. =( Hopefully the sorting of the frogs will help out with this. I found it rather unusual that such a variety of frogs could hang out together without trying to eat each other. Though it was totally the new guy that tried to nom my small one. =\

YIKES! I hope that doesn't happen with mine! But then again my big one is a girl and she'd be eating her only possible mates! lol
