I am currently the proud mommy to one axolotl however I have two other tanks up preparing for a tiger salamander pair and fire belly newts So here are my animals and set ups

the tank needs wiped down lol but here is the firebelly newt.

Can't believe nobody has posted on this thread. I love Axolotls and have owned over twenty babies from spawn but sadly they all died within a month of hatching. Yours looks nice and healthy though and I have always wanted a tiger salamander but never really looked for one. Do you have any other pets? Like other than amphibians.

I have 2 female rats, a cat and a dog

The tiger salamanders were not for me, Not bad but they hide a a lot lol. So I am converting their tank.

I wonder whats causing yours to die Maybe you can get an older one and research into possible causes? I could not imagine not having my girl. I actually just got another axolotl, Her name is Miyuki.

I was doing weekly cleanings unfortunately. Since I hadn't owned them from babies before I didn't realise you needed to change their water daily.

Just get one 2 inches or bigger Weekly changes are fine as long as your tank is cycled That was the worst part of waiting for my lotls was the cycling.
