Hello again FF
I came to check on both of my chorus frogs Shotzy & Chrome (After Caspian's frog) and i found shotzy has redness in his upper and lower legs, i already placed him in a quarantine setup away from chrome. Im very worryful for shotzy if there are any medications i can use please post them. Ill try to get some photos of the chorus frog.

My vet gave me a SHOTS to give my "DIXIE" who died of red leg early this past year...it did not work even through a week of treatment...so I will NOT recommend it. Best of luck. with beloved guy and hope all heals up.
heres the pics of his quarantine and redleg

Ill be honest, From what I have seen out of red leg ....your doesn't resemble the symptoms. Hard to tell with your photo though. I could be very wrong. Do you see broken blood vessels in the white part of the frogs leg or just redness to the skin which can be as simple as sitting in its own pee for 24 hours from ammonia? Either way I would get some pure spring water with some pedialyte and dechloinator and see what that does. If it goes away after some pure water like that after a week. Your good to go to my knowledge.
I did not recall seeing broken blood vessels. he only has the redness but is still very active and spunky.

Mine was active for the 1st week. Symptoms were blood vessels were visible in the lower legs... after the second week the blood vessels were bursting and it spread to the lower belly. She never ate and i had to force feed her by a syringe that I got from lynn.
He's eating and has pooped and is still active.

Doesnt sound like red leg then.
Red leg is technically not a disease, but a symptom, usually it's cause is bacteria, but sometimes it is virus and that is when like with Corey frog antibiotics won't help. Or it might be a frog was too weak to get through.
I don't see anything out of ordinary in the pic, but it is not clear pics. I would try to get immune system up with reptibost and get some soaks going like Corey suggested.
Your hospital set up is no good, being in there will stress a frog and thus his immunity is gonna be reduced.
So try to find something a bit bigger, any plastic food or storage container will do. Then cover all 4 sides with something and see how it'll go after soaks.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Ive checked the frog again and i think im just paranoid. He's feeding
and everything. ive put him back in his original tank with chrome.
I 110% agree with you Lija, the quarantine tank is way too
small, this was the only thing i could find so far.

I dont want to put the frog under any more stress by handling him too much.
Here are two frogs (Not my frogs) with what ive been talking about on their thighs.

A lot of frogs (mine included), have pinky-red tinged legs as a result of the muscle underneath pale coloured skin. It can get a deeper colour if blood flow to the muscles is increased (heat or lots of movement). The frogs in the pictures you posted look normal.
Red leg looks like haemorrhaging under the skin- much more intense red than what you are seeing
I would guess that since your frog is still active and eating well, that its just natural pinky colouration due to the above
If dragons were real I'd totally be in on that...

I can't tell either. See if you can some nice clear photos. Have you noticed any other odd behaviors?

Hi Ryan, I went through much paranoia about redleg and my Treefrogs. I've found that they will often climb the glass then let their bodies slide down a little. Then climb a little more, then let their bodies slide down a little. Repeat. This seems to irritate the skin and turn it a little red, especially on the rear thighs (add this to the increased blood flow from movement that's been mentioned). This is also when you usually see them from below and then start thinking about redleg. I went through this several times, but when I check them after they've settled down and have been sitting for a few hours, the redness is gone and my paranoia subsides until next time...
Very good input Brian! I keep seeing my whites do this after I mist my tank. Never noticed red on the legs with them in particular but they usually get frustrated after awhile and just jump in the water pool or on a vine after several attempts to be sticky to the glass. Its really funny to see a whites ATTITUDE to silly stuff like that.
Hi,
I have also noticed time and time again there is a ' pink/orange tinge' to their tummies and upper chest if they need to shed.

I've also seen the pink/orange belly right before they're going to pee. I have one frog that startles easy (Cassie), and she gets the belly color if you scare her. Her belly is nice and white when relaxed.

colors from yellow to pink in both of my frogs after hopping around a while.
