Warmth and more food can speed up growth in mantids.
Be careful about the lights used for other animals. Curly lights can damage thier eyes and even make them blind. One of mine had damaged eyes because of similar lights.
There is a forum for mantids, Mantidforum.net. Nice place with great people just like this one. They can answer your questions best.

Don't warm them too much. I keep all my species at 25 degrees Celsius. Don't over feed them either. Just keep doing what your doing and be more patient. In a few months it will be big.

I would also like to add that the reason for a more rapid growth rate when kept at warmer temperatures is due to an increased metabolic rate which will shorten the mantids lifespan. You will also have to feed the mantid more often because of its higher metabolic rate.
