Ceratophrys cranwelli (generally known as the "green pacman frog") and ceratophrys ornata are two different species of horned frog ( or pacman frog). Ornata's tend to have more redish color then a normal cranwelli. There are also a few other species of horned frogs but somebody else would have to help you out with those.

I personally wouldnt put any frog in a 5 gallon. 10 is my limit unless its a grow out enclosure.

It depends, 5 gal is it for 12x12x12exo terra?

    Anyhow
cranwelli - have bigger "horns", huge amount of different morphs.
ornata - more roundly shaped body, majority grow bigger in comparison to cranwelli, as well majority of ornatas are more aggressive eaters. However there are way less morphs.

Adult male cranwelli can be perfectly fine in 12x12 exo terra all his life. In fact I think my male ornate would be fine in that size too, he is one lazy dude, he only needs water dish (rarely) and one spot to put his big butt in, all the rest of his 18x18 exo terra has never been used.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

I agree 12x12x12 should be fine from what I've read.
I hate to be the math guy but 12x12x12 is 7.5 gallon roughly. I think the 5 gallon may be a lil cramped but with regular cleanings and such I am sure you could maintain an adequate environment. Especially since some have been successful with Critter Keepers. Apparently that is common in Asia.

5 gallon is 16x8 which is 16 inches less floor space. While its not a lot it does seem to make a difference.

Ornates have no horns and have a black point above the eyes.
They are also more coming from Argentina.

Yes i have to say that GRABibus is right, Ornates have no horns, but if you are looking for one or the other, i seriously recommend packman frogs, as they take much less care
