    Default Lasiodora Parahybana

Yesterday I purchased two LP slings online and they should arrive on Tuesday or maybe Wednesday, I can't wait.

I have always wanted a giant species and mature females are believed to be the third largest species of T in the world reaching 10" legspan. They are only 2-3cm now though.

When they arrive I will post pics and a video like I always do of them feeding.

I have one. Tiny was a freebie from Swift`s Inverts. Nice seller. She is super fast and startles me and gives the horrors to a friend. I like her though. She is a blue grey color with pink hairs! Who ever heard of a pink and blue spider?! Tell people that they exist and enjoy the funny looks you get!

But I really need to find her a home. A local lady who is a waitress in a favorite cafe might take her. Shes just going to be too big for me to keep.

Congratz, my LP is a little over 1" they are cool little things. Super skittish as slings tho, darts into its burrow as soon as I touch anything on my invert rack. Once they get bigger supposed to be a lot bolder tho.

Congrats Jack. Can't wait to see pics. I ordered a couple of these a while back but they were lost in shipping (or one of the usps workers stole them).

I saw yours when you made a thread when you got them. Apparently they spend all their time out of their burrows when older and these guys grow fast so that shouldn't be too long.

    They arrived.

Here are some pics and I'll post a video once I get them to eat. The first three photos are one of the slings and the others are the other sling.

One of them has dug a burrow under a fake plant and the other has blocked the entrance to its hide. They have been very busy while I have been at school.

One is in a screw lid container a bit bigger than a deli cup and the other is in a very small glass tank about 5x3x4 inches. That's just a guess of size but it's custom made so it is quite small. Each has some moist coco fibre substrate and one has cork bark to hide under while the other has a fake plant leaf as they are so small they can hide under anything.
