Yikes! He looks like a beast of a bullfrog, especially in that last one! What food items do you offer him?
He eats mostly earthworms and hornworms, once in a while I'll give him a rat, some super worms, chick stuff like that. He hates crickets won't bother them at all. Dust his food once a month with multi vitamins & calcium along with a warm bath, leave out jugs of water constantly for him and our plants don't bother with conditioner.
Jugs without the caps right? Or does it not matter? you have a good looking frog, does he have a name?
Lids off, I used to run it through a britta filter first but my good friend that works for the city at the water treatment plant assured me the heavy metal content is way below national standards so the chlorine is all I should be worried about. I purchased a chlorine test kit from a hot tub store and after 24- 36 hrs of sitting its un readable low, use milk jugs (plastic type)
Yikes what a monster, hes a very good looking frog with a huge head. How big was he at about 5 months old if you can remember? Just wondering if mine will do anymore growing as he is 5 months.
Its hide was a project me and my daughter did when we couldn't find one big enough at the pet stores around here, 7 bucks of doweling rod, large Popsicle sticks and glue gun sticks from the dollar store and bam. We also have a small female dwarf that likes to be hand fed, she is really gentle. Funny thing with the female dwarf is they will face each other at night and she will chirp and get him bellowing, if they ever met he would eat her in a second.
