OK now that my Whites Tree Frog is 3 inches long can anyone tell me what sex "he/she" is? I got "it" in July and it was about an inch long. "Jade" (the name I'm gonna stick with whatever the outcome) has only croaked a few times but that was when it was startled. I feel like "it's" a female but just need to know from someone who has experience. ThanxSorry for the upside down pic. Don't know how to unattach it!!!

To sex your frog, seeing if it will croak is pretty much impossible because both males and females
will croak in response to another frog. I would lean towards male but im no expert. Good luck!

what did the croaks you heard sound like? A little squeek, or a big honk?

Just a few squeeks. I also had what I thought was a male the same age as this one that died recently that was beginning to croak when I played certain music but not this one. Just a few peeps from this one. Plus the other one was the same age but smaller than the one I still have so I think it was a male.
Same here. I would say female. My female squeaks and my male calls very definitively. Oddly enough, especially to techno music lol

Thanks, Carlos, that was what I was beginning to see too but I thought since it's still growing to let it eat. I know it's not good but it's just so much fun to feed her the crickets but I guess i need to cut it down

Hello, A very easy non stress full way to tell if your whites frog is a boy or a girl, is Look by its thumb on the front pads, and if there is a brownish or darker coloured spot just above the thumb on his hand, then its a boy, if theres none, than its a girl.
