Yes you just might get tads. Remember to not use tap water and to watch temperature of water. Bird baths tend to be a little shallow and sometimes get too hot or dry up. Snakes, birds and pets may feast on the tads or parents. It may not be necessary to sit bath on the ground if there are plants nearby for parents to jump from. I often find tads in my containers even as late as October in NC.
I live on the West/North West corner of my apartment building so my garden is shaded most of the day. I wont have to worry about the water being too hot or drying up. I will try to find something deeper for them. I'll have to watch out for mosquitos though.
