All right, I'll see if I can buy this particular brand/model that is shown in the picture. Both models look good, thanks Danfrog and Mike. All Living Things™ Heat Lamp - 8.5" Is that a good deal? I appreciate your help guys and I'm just trying to plan this all out. I'll get the repti-foggers later and I'll get these now and the dimmer seems included. I'm just trying to absorb this all into my head and plan out what I got to get. The plantation soil from Exo Terra or Zoo Med, not sure what brand I got, is that digestible to? My pacman doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Just the tomato did. Now my albino just should have the red incandescent light? I have a Heat Glo Exo Terra 50W infrared spot/heat lamp here from my room mates brother I'll have to check the albino thread to see if that's too much.

Plantation soil is shredded coco fiber which is the same as Eco earth just different brand. Both are fine. Red lamp should be good if you put a dimmer on it. No white lights or UVB for the albino is the main thing. Hurts their eyes and UVB is bad for their skin.

Here for an update. I purchased a All Living Things 8.5" Heat Lamp, using in combination 50w incandescent red bulb for my albino pacman frog. The other is a Fluker's Clamp lamp with dimmer for incandescent bulbs. Its a 5.5 inch clamp lamp and we got a Swamp basking Spot light 50w 'splash proof' for my other pacman. The temperatures seem to be very slowly increasing. I have screen lids on both tanks fitted on and a sheet of plexiglass going length wise across both of them. On the other half I have the lamps sitting atop the mess of the screen lid. This is just a temporary set up until I can have some lids custom built like what you guys have. Looks like one of you guys are using some kind of reptile/amphibian screen top and a fitted sheet plexiglass. What do I do next? What do I need to build this top? Thanks again. After I get that I'll look at getting the repti-foggers and then a custom built cabinet. She also got a good deal on a Zilla Day White Light Incandescent Spot 50w for $2. Not using it just hanging onto it for now.

If you get the reptifogger might as well get a Hygrotherm with it. They are 40 dollars on amazon. You will never have to worry about temps and humidity agian. You are on the right track though.

alright. I should contact big apple and find out how to read humidity on this reader I got to. Ted's tank is up to around 23.5C and Salsa's (my albino) is 21.7 which is up a full 1c in the last hour or so. The soil is drying up a bit it seems on that side. And I'm heading to bed in 20 minutes. This is right now setup in my room. Not sure if I should leave this on tonight or turn it off for the 8 hours I sleep. How did you build your lid? I see this Zoo Med has a night time temperature control drop feature. How does it control that? That would be nice cause I wasn't sure how I was going to drop temp at night.

I'm reading on Amazon reviews that this repti foggers breaks after a few months. How long has yours worked for? Where can I get a tank that opens from the front for a good price? thanks.

If you use a reptifogger make sure to use destilled water in it. I've had mine for a few months with no problems. The hygrotherm is programable. I use tinfoil now for my lid with holes cut for the lights. Your going to have to shop around for an exo terra tank. Maybe craigslist.

I'll make sure. I checked out exo terra tanks some more, and while I love them they don't seem to have the size I want 24L x 12w x 12h. The depth on all of the ones near the size is 18"

Well before I had the ceramic heat light on top I was able to fit my 3 tanks on a 4 level book shelf. I want to have another cabinet built, but I'm taking size into consideration.

What are you housing in that size enclosure?

I'm housing pacman and one of the tanks has two tomato frogs in it. My albino pacman's tank is now at 27.3c/81.1F so I'm near the ideal range.

This size is too big for C Cranwell. Is that what it is for? Better off with 18 or the 12x12x12. You could do two 12x12x12 in that space.

I've heard a 10 gallon is suitable for an adult pacman or C Cranwell I guess as technical term. But I also heard a 15-20 is preferred. So I'm a bit confused. I was keeping my probe on the warm side of the tank to get an accurate reading, but will this cause the plastic on it to melt? What is the melting point of plastic? Perhaps I should look that up.

Really? Maybe for Ornata or Pixie, I was under the impression that 10 gallon is the max for Cranwell from other posts I read. Perhaps I am wrong. I know others have bought the 12x12x12 for Cranwell perhaps it was for juveniles.

Since your frog has been stunted. A 12x12x12 with a water dish and fake plant would suit your frog nicely.

Alright I found one for $30 on Kijiji. I found this lid 15 / 20 Gal. Screen Cover with Door which has the door on the end like I want. Its 24" long and doesn't say wide but I think all 15-20's are 12" wide and it looks it. I'll get a couple of these. Regular pacman still need uvb? I took off the uvb light cause the heat lamp was putting off light but should I have both on?

No you don't need UVB. Just proper temp, humidity, diet, and supplements.

okay. I'm picking between two lids for another tank, a bit off topic here but its between 15 / 20 Gal. Screen Cover with Door Benefits, light on one side and closed on the other with a small door for access. EZ-Entry Reptile Screen Covers Benefit, super durable mesh, easier access. Could use plexiglass if needed on non-light side.
