Hi everyone. Hope you can help me out
I have two male Bufo Bufo, doing very well and growing good - they're active late at night and early in the morning, eat well, walk normally, look round and happy and their skin has normal colorations.
Their "bedding" is unfertilised topsoil, just misted every or every second day and I've planted some normal bedplants that are nontoxic, which I do not overwater. I change their water every or every second day, they live in room temperature (20 - 22 degress) and they're fed crickets, earthworms and mealworms. When I change their water, I look for fecal matters on the ground and remove them.
- Here's my question:
Once in a while, when I pick one of them up, a very small (just under 1 mm) white fly like creature is crawling on them. I see these rarely, but I want to know if it's something I should worry about or do something about?
I'm guessing it's some normal appearing insect, that comes along with the soil - I don't use any outdoor accessories, that haven't been dried first and held over with boiling water and dried again, before giving it to them (like their branches, from the outdoor) and they have a moth-plank from the woods, which they've had for a long time.
Anyone?
