    Default Jim from Tennessee USA

I am currently building a largish paludarium, my first terrarium & frogs. I had a 180gal fish tank that started leaking. Scrapped the tank & decided I would finally build a paludarium of my own. It is 60x30x48" tall & will have 10" of water w/fish in the bottom, a large tree stump & branches w/tree frogs (I'm thinking Whites), a pair of geckos & orchids. I've been doing research on all the different aspects of this & will have more time to do so because it has been & will continue to be a slow process.

I'll have some pix to post in a few days. I'll have some questions along the way. Yes I know in general it's not recommended to have frogs & lizards in the same viv but it is a large one & I have plans to set up separate niches for them.

Welcome to the forum Jim! What kind of geckos were you planning on keeping with the white's? I'm not against mixed habitats, just curious what species you plan on mixing? Have fun with the build, the big ones are always much more fun!

    Thanks all

I was thinking giant day geckos, mostly so they would be big enough that the whites wouldn't eat them. I had originally planed on reed frogs & a smaller pair of geckos but think larger critters would be more fun to watch.

I looked up images of Korumburra to see where you live looks like. A few of the photos had snow. Think most think of Australia being hot & don't think about it snowing, silly I know. Guess your weather & mine isn't all that different. Have any photos around where you live? I love forums like this where people from all over the world get to talk about things they have in common.
