So I read a few things on blue lights to see tree frogs at night , mine sleep all day in a hollow log hide spot .
They are new to us about a week but they are out at night I know . Just like any new ideas or tricks I guess I'm going to get some blue led lights as that seemed to work for some . Thanks
I use one red and one nightime blue light, pending how warm I want to make it. As soon as the daytime lights go out at 6 pm, they start to come down to soak, eat, & call.

I use a Red Light with a dimmer switch, It helps control heat levels at night along with a Heat Pad.
Thanks , well I just got a led blue night light and it's working good . I watched them eat , jump from branch to branch , got to make sure they both ate .. I have one that is more brave and one that is more shy but they both seem ok with the blue light .
now should I leave it on so they get more use to it or turn it off when I go to bed ?? So cool to see them play and eat as they sleep all day ... Love these little guys ...
Hey, I have had the same issue with mine. I know someone who uses a purple heat lamp for his but as I can't afford $75 every two months to replace it I'm going to try a purple party globe as I've seen suggested here before. I had bought a little battery operated LED for them which was great... But then the battery exploded. I'm glad I was there as I had placed it atop the terrarium. Not using that any more.
I'm also going to try to find a way to completely block any light coming from my room. I hate sitting at a computer without a light on - I've had to do that so as to let them be active.
I've been forced to use a torch to do my periodic temperature checks of which they aren't fond....
