    Default Is it ok to put sticks and branches i find outside?

    Hello and sorry for so many posts from me!

    Well im a beginner from iceland and cant get alot of help from here hehe. well i was thinking can i go out side and find sticks and branches boil them and put them in the tank with the frog?(whites tree frog)

    another question: he does not move alot or croak is he unhappy? does he need a friend?
    he does not climb alot and only hangs out on the bottom on the cage so im trying to change that but its hard to buy some "sanitary sticks/branches" here

    Not sure with frogs but with reptiles you can't use soft woods eg pine as it releases oils and fumes that can cause respiratory infections. Hopefully someone will know more

    Here in iceland we have alot of birch trees if that helps and if its ok to use them we also have aspen trees

    birch will be fine, it is a hard wood. most hardwoods are safe as long as they are dead fall and dried out. then of course, boiled

    Ahh okey so it needs to be dead? i cant chop alive one down and find a good stick ?
