Well, Lola's starting to look really awesome around this time. She's getting an orange brown color just in time for Halloween! And I want her to look nice, but, the problem is that springtails are always crawling all over her. There has always been springtails in my toad cages no matter what, and they aren't really that big of a deal. But in Lola's 20 gallon they have a HUGE colony and not just springtails, there's gnats in her cage too. So, I do I get rid of these guys? I've tried a vinegar trap for the gnats but it smells really bad and it doesn't work. And how do I control the springtail population and I do I get them off of Lola without giving her baths every week?
"Look on the wall behind you. Look at that little girl's face. I know you've seen it. But you know what she's never going to be able to see? She's never going to be able to see the simple wonder of a leaf in her hand. Because there's not going to be any trees. Now you think about that."

Let the tank dry out. Springtails need 100% humidity to survive. Can't help you with the gnats, never had an issue with them.

The cage is really dry though, most of the water gets trapped in the moss.
