So I've decided I want to leave a feeding dish for the Gray Tree Froglets when they're moved into their new home, to avoid them having to hunt the crickets down in a large environment (compared to them). The issue I'm having is that the dollar stores I've been to do not seem to have the cooking dishes I hear people use, but only slightly shallow ash trays. I've picked one of these up, the deepest I feel I could find, and I tossed some crickets in to see how it worked. It seemed to work, but I think one of the crickets may have managed to escape, probably from jumping out (It's only about half an inch deep). So my two questions are; 1) Where can I go to get a good dish for a feeding dish? So far I've checked the local Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Walmart, but all three only had the shallow ash trays, but no luck with what I'm looking for. And question two; would the ash tray suffice or is it simply too shallow? The crickets certainly weren't able to climb the sides, so that's a plus, but on the otherhand one of them may have bounced out of there. I'm also considering taking a picture and linking it here with a lighter next to it so that people can see the size in relation to another object.
