    Default bean beetles

    hi everyone,

i have been contimplating starting a bean beetle cutlure. I know that all they need is a container and beans. So i was just wondering if anyone has any good tips for cultivating them. I have a general idea but what i am looking for is personal experience. also does anyone know of any good deals for them online?

Nice size containers ( I use these round ..40 oz)
A thin layer of beans (below- red kidney and northern great )
Thin layer......otherwise they will get damp and moldy.
Poke - lots of tiny air holes. TINY...just break the plastic...otherwise the will get out
    Tight fitting lid!
    Replenish beans as needed.

I have a culture going, very easy to keep. I read somewhere online that mung beans or black eyed peas are the best beans to use. Throw beans in and ignore lol. Using one plastic container I have an over abundance.
