There's no reason to put the frog on its back to measure it.

Also, neither would win, and whoever put them together could be charged with animal cruelty.

Did you place a centipede with your frog? Find that picture disturbing .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

I actually own a centipede and I can tell you this, you do not want to put them together. Centipedes are highly agressive and toxic, your frog will get bitten and die. I handle almost all my animals when required, and my centipede is something I will never ever touch with my hands. They have one of the most painfull bites there are.
Also, as stated above, please don't put your frog on it's back, when your mom used to measure your height, she din'd flip you on your head either.

My Mojo is at a healthy size of just over 4 inches. His growth has pretty much halted. I've had him since May. I would love to get another quarter inch out of him.

Do you mean second in a rowe or second mouse since you've had her?
Mice should only be given to them no more than once per month.

She may grow another quarter to half inch, but no more.

Is the mouse still alive when you're doing that? Just let it walk around in front of her or something. Grabbing it with the tongs and rubbing it on the frog's face has got to be painful and terrifying... Not to mention increasing the potential for it to bite her.

There's no need to feed live anything unless the frog absolutely refuses to eat anything f/t. F/t is safer for the frog and more humane for the mouse.
(Also, I would recommend getting a tupperware dish or something to feed her in, not on the cage-top like that. The metal grating can dig into their skin, and if she hops those corners are sharp and could be an injury waiting to happen).

maverick did get a minor bite on the lip but i grabbed the mouse by the neck and she ate it.The reason i feed like that was because she doesnt like to eat by herself. And before u guys go off on maverick getting bit,she only got bit on the lip she did not bleed,or make any noise of pain just a small bump.

What do you mean "She doesn't like to eat by herself"? I don't understand what you're saying or why that makes you have to rub live feeders on your frog's face... I may be misunderstanding what you're saying, but please clarify?

You can avoid your frog getting bitten by feeding frozen/thawed mice, or by not pressing live feeders into your frog's face. You said you've fed her a live mouse like that only twice, and your frog has already been bitten. I'm not trying to be mean, but that is dangerous to the frog, cruel to the mouse, and irresponsible if you keep doing it. Next time that mouse could nip or scratch her face two centimeters up and she could lose an eye.
Basically, you got lucky that the bite didn't do any damage. But the fact that it happened so in your first two feedings is an indicator that what you have been doing is not a safe way to feed! Please don't use that technique again...

IMO live feeders should only be used as a last resort when an animal refuses all other foods. Otherwise (especially with frogs and how easily damaged their skin is) it's an unnecessary risk.
