I recently did photoshoots with all three of the Rubbies that we got from the Ivorys. They are all doing great! Each one of them has turned out to have slight different coloring. As always, it was very hard to accurately capture their colors. They ended up looking a lot more orange in their pictures, when really they are more of a dark pink color. Anyway, here are my little gems.
First up we have Mariko (female). She is feisty but overall fairly laid back, unless you are a worm of course.
She is the darkest of the three and her coloring was the hardest to capture.
Then we have Kipling or Kip for short. He was a very active baby right up until he started calling. Then within a matter of days he became on of the laziest boys in our frog family!
His coloring is kind of reversed; his head is actually lighter in color and his lower body is darker. He looks a little thin in these pictures, but that is only because he had a Massive bowel movement right before.
And finally we have this girl. She doesn't have a name yet. (Sometimes it takes a while to find the right name.) She is fairly gentle and a little shy.
She is the palest of the three Rubbies. She actually has almost no pigment on her lower body. It looks like someone erased her color on her lower back and belly. I love the way she looks!
This shot in particular captures her reduced pigmentation.
Thanks again to Ivory Reptiles for the beautiful babies! I should have updated pics of the other ones soon.
